At Mission Control, Kym sifts through and analyzes mountains of data, advises on models, and translates it all into actionable targeting metrics that allow us to run effective, efficient campaigns and ensure we’re delivering the right message to the right mail universe. Kym earned her Ph.D. working on cutting-edge social science research on the issues of immigration and border security. In 2012, she trained with the Obama campaign to apply this research to campaign work. After that, she was the DCCC’s southern regional targeting director and later a senior account executive at Catalist, working on voter registration for the Voter Participation Center and Rock the Vote among others. Kym’s knowledge and experience make free time a premium, but she does what she can to run, knit, and collect cookbooks, which she one day promises to actually read.
